Ariadne Bio, Inc. (“Ariadne”, “we”, “our”) is committed to maintaining the privacy of those who use and interact with our website (“you”, “your”), accessible at https://ariadnebio.com/ (the “Website”). This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how Ariadne collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use or access our Website or other online products or services that link to this Policy, and the measures we take to protect it. We may change this Policy from time to time; changes become effective when we post the updated Policy, indicated by the “Last updated” date above.
Consent
By using our Website, you agree to this Policy. Where we rely on your consent for specific processing, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us. You can control cookies through your browser settings, as described under Log Files, Cookies, and Similar Technologies below.
Legal Bases (EU/UK)
Where the UK or EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process personal data on the following bases: our legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request, to respond to your inquiries, to provide resources you request, and to operate and secure the Website; your consent, where we ask for it; and compliance with legal obligations.
Information We Collect
Depending on your use of the Website, we may collect:
- Personal identification information, such as your name, email address, and other identifiers you provide;
- Professional information, such as your company or organization;
- Internet and network identifiers, such as IP address and general location; and
- Correspondence you choose to provide, including the content of any inquiry you send us by email or submit when requesting a resource.
How We Collect Information
- Directly from you, such as when you request a resource we publish or contact us by email;
- Automatically from your device when you access the Website; and
- From service providers acting on our behalf.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about them;
- Send you resources you have requested;
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve our Website;
- Understand how the Website is used;
- Detect and protect against security incidents and fraudulent or malicious activity; and
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations and protect our legal rights.
Sharing Your Information
We may share your information:
- With service providers who process data on our behalf. In particular, we use HubSpot, Inc. to operate our white paper request form and to provide website analytics. HubSpot processes personal data on our behalf under a data processing agreement;
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets;
- To comply with legal process, law enforcement requests, or government inquiries, and to protect our rights, property, and safety; and
- For any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or with your consent.
Log Files, Cookies, and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies as follows:
- Analytics. We load HubSpot analytics on the Website, which uses cookies and a tracking beacon to help us understand how the Website is used. These are set when you visit the Website. We do not currently operate a cookie consent banner.
- Your controls. You can refuse, block or delete cookies through your browser settings, or use your browser’s private browsing mode. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to read the Website or to request our white paper.
- Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. That request discloses your IP address to Google and is logged by them. It sets no cookie.
Our white paper request form submits the details you provide directly to HubSpot to record and respond to your request.
White Paper Requests and HubSpot Cookies
When you request a resource we publish, such as our white paper on the burden of apathy in Parkinson’s disease, the request form collects your name, email address and company. That form is operated by HubSpot, Inc. on our behalf under a data processing agreement, and the details you submit are recorded in our customer relationship management system and used to send you the resource and to respond to any related inquiry. HubSpot also sets cookies and loads a tracking beacon on our Website, which allow us to see which pages and resources a visitor used and, where a request is submitted, to associate that activity with the request. You can refuse or delete these cookies through your browser settings, and doing so does not affect your ability to request the resource.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to respond to your inquiry and to maintain appropriate business and legal records, and as required by applicable law. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
International Transfers
The Website is operated in the United States, and information you provide may be transferred to and processed in the United States and by our service providers. Where we transfer personal data of individuals in the EU or UK internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the Standard Contractual Clauses, which are incorporated into our processors’ data processing terms.
Security
We have adopted reasonable safeguards to help protect your personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
“Do Not Track” Signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. Our Website does not currently respond to DNT signals.
Your Rights
Your rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your information, to object to or port it, and to withdraw consent, vary by jurisdiction and are provided in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us as set out below.
- In Europe and the UK, you may access, correct, delete, object to or restrict processing, request portability, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- In California, you may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and shared, request deletion, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
